Radio on the Internet!

For years and years we have listened to radio whether it was in the house, in the car, or in the ears, but now there is another one to add to that list. Yes i think officially we can say that online radio has become one of the greatest things we have. Not having to be in the service area of one particular station, most stations are broadcasting online now. This brings great choice to the people of the area and the world. Yes now it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, you are still able to listen to your home radio station by just going to their website.

This has also helped the radio and advertising. Now more and more advertising is on the radio because the advertisers know that it will be broadcasted not only in their country but all over the world. This brings in international visitors to their product, and tells people that if they travel to that place they will be able to get that certain product.

Anyway this post might have been a little confusing. Just thought i would write about what i was thinking about at the moment. I think it’s quite interesting. If you think its interesting to, leave a comment below.

Review on Ustream.tv

I have been using Ustream.tv for about 5 or 6 months now, and i have honestly had no “Major” Problems with it. There have been a few service glitches that i think could be fixed but other than that it has been fine. So i decided to write a quick little review on it:1- Ease of access. I really do enjoy the control centre. It gives you easy access to your viewers and also gives you full control over your show. Weather it is how good your sound quality is, to having the ability to control your chat room. I do on the other hand think it would be a better idea to have a down-loadable program and broadcast your show from there, instead of going to the website every time to open it. I think it would just be easier to have the ability to open it from your own desktop.

2- The ability to record videos. I don’t know what else to say other than i love the fact that you are able to record videos download them, and then post them to Youtube. This is great for small business that are trying to get bigger. It takes absolutely no time to save the video and you can do as many of them as you can imagine.

3- The ability to embed your show. Although Ustream would probably prefer that you go to their website to watch the show, they do give you the option to embed the show to your own website, Facebook, etc. This is very good. It gives the viewers a central location to watch your show, and gives them the ability to watch your show and chat at the same time. I have found this very useful on my website http://www.live.bradwelltv.com. Where i broadcast all the time.

How to listen to live radio including the bradleybradwell show

As i have mentioned in my last post. I have a new self named show on Play 632. The way you can listen to it is by going to http://ubroadcast.com/listen. All you have to do is download the player and there you go. You have access to thousands of channels that are being broadcast from and throughout the whole world.

I just thought i would mention how you are able to listen to me on the ubroadcast player. All you have to do is type in the jump section 632 and it will bring you right to my show. I am planning to be broadcasting the show between 3 and 5Pm PST, in case you wanted to tune into the show.

Ustream

I have recently started using Ustream, and have my own channel on the site, which is my user name of course. I just thought today i would give some sort of an opinionated review on the site.

The Good-

     – This site is very good and powerful on pronouncing your opinion, hobby’s, perferabilities etc… to the world.

     -It is very good for lets say, promoting your site. There are many viewers everyday, and your channel will most likely get at least 10 hits a day(if you go 24 hours of course). You can use Ustream, as a channel for your website, advertising and promoting certain events etc on your site.

     – One thing i like about Ustream is that you have the ability to paste your channel onto your website using html format. This way your website viewers get a feeling of communication between the website owner and themselves.

     – The ability to have virtual contact with your customer, viewer etc… This can really influence your visitor to return. Why? Because they get the chance to see what the website owner does, and it gives them a sense that they are apart of your business, website etc. It makes them feel that they have influence on what you are doing(It really does. I have been influenced by my visitors).

– Ustream is also free to use. They have a great free program that lets your broadcast and change images that your viewers are seeing. It also has the chatroom built inside of it so you are able to communicate with your viewers. You are also able to record video, This is really helpful if you want to upload it to your website, Youtube, and other video sites.

The Bad

     – Well there isn’t much of a bad. The Ustream recorder could be a little more user friendly and let the broadcaster have more control over the broadcast.

Ustream is a great way to broadcast your thoughts, and ideas.
