An all new Radio Station! Including Chris Pirillo!
May 11, 2008
Well there is a new radio station in town. Ok maybe not in town, but within the whole world. It’s called KBC Radio. With Shows on Channel 12902 on Ubroadcast, KBC has new shows including Tech2do live, The Chris Pirillo Show, and KBC News.
Here is a bit more about KBC:
The Kanwell Broadcasting Corporation(KBC) First started in 2004, as a radio station on ubroadcast. Yes it was indeed us at the dial of 632. It was a sports radio station, that caught very few peoples eyes. With only two shows every week, it was not grabbing the attention KBC was hoping for.
In late 2006, KBC Radio shut down due to the insufficient work of the station. The Owner Bradley Bradwell was also going through personal difficulties including the death of several family members.
In January 2008, there was a rebirth. Bradley Bradwell was ready to go, but this time he was going to reshape the whole station and get the most qualified speakers on his station. This includes Chris Pirillo, and Brad Roberts. Yes KBC was now a station with the best speakers of news, technology, sports, entertainment, and much more. We are dedicated to bringing you the latest in these subjects. With a new list of shows including the KBC hourly news, KBC is as big as it has ever been.
If you would like more information on The New KBC radio go to Their Website, and learn more about their shows.
KBC also has fee advertising. If you are interested in Advertising on KBC radio email me at bradley@bradwelltv.com.
KBC is also looking for Talk Shows, so if you are interesting in having your own show, email the address above. There are only a few spots left.
Anyway, Hope you enjoy the new Station in town.

New Facebook Security Features
May 10, 2008
Apparently Facebook is adding more than 40 new security features according to.techblorge.
This seems interesting, but is it really going to prevent things from happening. I mean this is the internet that we are talking about isn’t it. No one is ever safe. Facebook will obviously never be 100% safe nor will any other website in the world.
Although i do appreciate Facebooks effort to limit pedifiles from getting close to children.

Making professional slide shows and videos with Animoto!
April 18, 2008
Today i have come across a website that has addicted me ever since i found it. It’s called Animoto and the purpose of this website is to take your pictures and make them into a professional looking video. When i say professional i mean professional. I will paste the link to a sample video at the end of this post.
How you do it- First you create an account. You have two choices. Number 1- Make a 30 second video which is very high quality and FREE, and then there is one that you can get longer. Unfortunately for that you have to puck up some dough. The 30 second one is really all you need though.
Then they will ask you to upload the pictures for you video. They prefer you upload between 10 and 15 images as if you do any more they will be cut off. This should take only a little while depending on your Internet connection speed.
Next you are able to choose from a selection of songs for your slideshow. The best part is that your slideshow will play to the beat of the song. If you don’t like any of their beats(which i highly doubt you will dislike) you are able to upload your own song from your computer.
After that you fill in the required information for the presentation, and click next. There they will produce the movie within several minutes. You will get an email when it is fully produced. Then watch as Animoto amazes you.
The finished product is really quite remarkable. Taking less than 15 minutes i see a video that would take me weeks or more to build on my own. Here is the video i made..
If you are interested in making your own account go to animoto.com and get started. Animoto if i had to rate it would defiantly be a 10 out of 10 for performance, but also for the speed in which it is finished at.
Thanks

How to protect your identity and passwords online.
April 17, 2008
More and more now people are becoming the victims of identity theft. The problem is that a great amount of it is from the Internet. Today i have come up with a few tips to keep your passwords safe and prevent hackers from getting them.
1- Don’t use just one password. To many people now days are just using one password. Try making multiple passwords. Another good idea is to keep passwords that are related with the real world like banking, social security etc in the real world, and keep the passwords that you use on line (Youtube, Facebook etc) separate from them. Having them all the same password will increase the chance of being robbed. Think of it this way: If someone gets one of your passwords, and thats the password you used for every single account on line, most likely you now have no access to any of those accounts.
2- Don’t share your passwords. This should be pretty obvious. This usually happens with teenagers and sometimes leads to bullying. Kids will all give each other everyones password putting their full trust in each other. Then one person changes the password, then guess what: The person you gave your password to has control over your stuff, and you have no control what so ever. Even if you trust the person, keep the passwords to yourself. Why would you want anyone else to know them anyway?
3-Make sure that you know all of your passwords- Make sure you use passwords that are good, but make sure you know them because it is not necessarily a good idea to write or type them. If someone gets a hold of these passwords when your not looking weather on paper or on your computer it could be devastating. If you have to type them due to long term memory problems try and set a master password(Sort of like a password for passwords). Some Internet browsers have this feature for example. Having a master password just creates another wall that someone has to get through to get your passwords.
There are plenty other things you can do to protect yourself, but most of it is just common sense. Keep private information private, and don’t share your personal information with others, even if it’s your best friend in the world.
Thanks

Get a website now. How to get a website, if there is any.
April 12, 2008
I am not sure if you have noticed, but lately i have really taken the time and have noticed that there is less and less domains available. When i got my domain, i had noticed that bradwell.com was taken. That really surprised me. Who takes Bradwell. One of the problems with domain names just being eaten away, is that they are not necessarily being taken away from people who build websites. Instead they are being taken and used for the soul purpose of advertising.
Indeed i am sure that you have noticed more and more that websites you visit have a search bar, and then the rest is all just advertising. The only question is if this should be allowed. Of course it is their own domain that they paid for, but in my opinion this is just making the Internet look like, for a lack of a better word “Vandalized”. Is this the truth?
What i am recommending is that you get your own domain quickly before all of them are taken from advertisers. You wouldn’t believe how many of your choices are already taken. When you do get them, try and get as many as you can for your future websites and businesses. In my opinion it’s now or never.
I would definitely like to get your comments about this. Leave a comment after the post! Thanks.
Thanks

New WordPress.com Format. Is it a big improvement?
April 11, 2008
WordPress.com just released their new format for bloggers, and it hasn’t really impressed me with the new features. Here are some problems i think that are negative towards the new format.
1- The Tags, I really liked it when they just had the text box where you could just write the tags in. Although you can still do this, once you click add or press enter they are written onto the web page with “X” beside them. This makes it pretty hard to copy and paste the tags to websites like Delicious or Digg.
2- Not allot of “Noticable” new features. They do have some new code abilities. What i would really have liked to see though would be the ability to add Adsense ads, and intigrate them with your online blog. Unfortunatly you can only do that with WordPress.org. There are ways to put Ads in your posts but it is against WordPress Terms of Use.
3- I cannot see the Word Count. I used this quite frequently when using their old platform, but now i can’t find it anywhere. I have this feeling its around but it is not in immidiate view. It would be nice if they put a wordcount back where it was below the post text box.
-
Now here are some improvements that i think are good for wordpress.
1) I like how we are able to edit the permalink to a certain extent. Its nice to be able to get rid of those dashes and all that extra crap. Its also nice that you are able to edit the title to a title that you feel better suits the topic of your post.
2) Eye Candy??? In my opinion it’s not a big improvment, but it definatly works. They have moved the Publish button to the rights side along with the save button. They have the option to look at your most used categories when categorizing your blog. It feels more fluent, and buttons are definatly more clear.
3)Dashboard- I really like how they intergrated a bit of everything including blog stats, comments, etc. I really like the flag that pops up when you have a new comment on one of your posts. This becomes very useful when trying to manage your wordpress site. Again on the Dashboard everything is very clear as to where you can find it.
Overall the new WordPress.com is fine, i do think there are a few minor changes that would help in the overall improvement of the site like the wordcount. I cannot stress enough how important i felt that was. I would just adore wordpress if they would let me put Adsense on it. I think it would attract me towards publishing on wordpress more often. Not that i wouldn’t publish on WordPress
Anyway just thought i would post my opinion on the new WordPress.com. The site is definatly Good looking with lots of eye candy.
Thanks

So you have just made a website………………. Now what do you do? Most people create a website expecting it to just take off, and be one of the most popular sites on the internet like Youtube, Google, or Facebook. Well right now you are probably being laughed at. Oh wait there is no one to laugh at you.
Have no fear though. I have come up with some quick and easy solutions to help you market your website.
1- Use the power of Youtube. Create a promotional video and upload it to Youtube. You wouldn’t believe how many hits some websites get by putting it on the massive site. If you do choose to put it on Youtube, try and add a link to your website on the main screen. An example of this would be my website http://live.bradwelltv.com. As you can see i have a title bar at the bottom of my screen, and on the bottom left corner there is my website. Although this is not a link, it is still noticeable to the public. You can get hundreds of hits just by using Youtube, so i defanatly recommend using it.
2-Comment in Blogs! You wouldn’t believe this but commenting in blogs gives you that presence in online communities. People will look to you to answer questions that they think you have knowledge of. Now this doesn’t mean put a comment in any blog. Strategically place them in blogs related to your website and your expertise. Also go onto many blogs, and not just one. This will give you a wider presence throughout the internet, and cause your name to become more familiar in your users heads.
3- Give out contact information. Make sure that on your website you have an about/contact page for your users to be able to contact you. Without a about/contact area your website will look more spammy than professional looking. Without it you will cause your users to feel hopeless, and that they are not an important part of your community. If you have a contact page and receive emails from your users, REPLY!!!!!!
Nothing feels worse for your user then feeling like their question isn’t important. If you don’t reply there is also a very high possibility that you have lost your costumer.
4- Be quick- This is very important to keeping users addicted to your site. Apply fresh new content at least 3 times a week. If your site isn’t updated frequently is becomes boring and unattractive. This doesn’t mean redo your whole site 3 times a week. It means add new things, write something new, or just do something that isn’t old. When i say to be quick, i also mean “be first”. Try your best to make sure you have newly released information first, so that search engines will quickly find the information, and direct it to your site. One of the worst things for a user is seeing the same story come up from website after website after website. They like to see something new, and creative.
Thought i would just write that quick little post today.
Hope you enjoyed.

Tv on the internet. Tv on the Computer. All Free!
April 5, 2008
We are probably all used to the Television by now, and what it does, and how it helps us to look for entertainment value. If you didn’t notice by now, people are starting to switch from those television screens to computer monitors. Yes!!! More and more people are watching their favourite television programs on the computer. Television stations are posting their latest shows on their websites like ABC.
I personally have changed my life around. I am rarely watching my favourite shows on television anymore. Instead i turn to the broadcasters website, or just watch Youtube. It has become more easier for me to use the Internet so that i can watch Tv, and do my work at the same time.
Even better. It is possible to attach your computer to your 50″ plasma and watch your online shows from there, and still be able to use your computer. Now that is like a double bonus. I definitely recommend using the new age in technology and watch your entertainment, and work on your computer all at the same time, and with Youtube adding high definition television…….. It will be even better.
Just thought i would touch on something today……… I hopey you enjoyed the post. Leave a comment below, and speak what your opinion is on this matter.
Thanks
