Finally The Iphone is coming to Canada!
May 1, 2008
According toCBC, the Iphone will be coming to Canada later within the year. This is the second time that i have heard of this. They reported that Rogers said Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with Apple to bring the world famous phone to Canada.
Cbc says that the company declined to give pricing information, infact both Rogers and Apple have kept the business very quiet.
Not to say that the Iphone isn’t already in Canada. There are thousands of people that have made the trip to the states and unlocked the phone to work with Rogers. Apple also plans to sell 10 million Iphones by the end of this year alone. An estimated 5 million Iphones have already been sold.
Thanks

Miley Cyrus Pictures and Technology!
April 29, 2008
Most of you have probably heard all of the news with the Miley Cyrus pictures. In fact i was on the homepage of Youtube today, and that Rss Video feed you see on the opening page. It was showing a video being watched about Miley Cyrus every single Scroll.
So this brings me to my point. How much has technology effected the way we think of superstars now days. How much does this effect our children? Is there a proper way to use the internet?
The common user of the Internet especially small children have no idea that whats on the Internet stays on the Internet. Even if you try to delete it, there is still someway to get it. This has become growing problems with Youtube, Facebook, and a whole bunch of other social networking sites.
Another question would be whether Miley made a mistake with these pictures, or whether she did it intentionally to get attention (which she most definatly got). Some celebrities are using the internet to their advantage and posting stuff on it. Stratigically speaking, although it may not be the good type, it still is attention.
I know this is a little bit confusing, but i thought that i would just post my thoughts for the day.

Is the Iphone ever coming to Canada?
April 20, 2008
I have been searching and searching the net and still there is no 100% positive sign that the Iphone is indeed coming to Canada? I personally am getting a little impatient now that i am looking for a new phone. It also bothers me that no wireless company or Apple has really came out and gave any announcements to when the Iphone is coming out, or weather it is coming out or not. I have seen small articles all over the net as to assumption on when there might possibly be a release date, but i still have not found any solid information.
I know there is an ability to unlock the Iphone in Canada, but that really is so much work to order it from the united states, get it shipped up here to Canada, and then have to figure out how to unlock the darn thing. I know of only one person in my area of the world who has unlocked the phone, and still aren’t getting the best service out of it.
If anyone knows any information on when the Iphone will be released, please email me at bradley@bradwelltv.com, or leave a comment below. I would really like to hear some solid information as to when this “amazing device” is supposed to be released.
Thanks

Review on The QuickCam Pro 9000.
April 20, 2008
The QuickCam Pro 9000 i have found to be very useful to me. I have used it for all of my broadcasting at live.bradwelltv.com.
However there are some ups and downs to it, including the microphone. You would never know that the microphone is supposed to cancel noise, as there is always a constant buzzing on it. It also fuzzes up if you talk very much more than a whisper. If i had to rate the microphone on the webcam it would be a 2 out of 10.
The Camera however is a different story. With an 8 mega pixel camera, it just amazes me how clear it really is. It looks sharp, and very clean. It also works very well with video editing software. That is about the only thing you can say about the Camera. It is very good.
Here are the specifications below that Logitech has posted to their website.

Review on The Canon ZR500
April 20, 2008
Specs
800 times digital zoom
Digital Video Camcorder
FireWire Port
Zoom
Light
Screen Protection
Exterior Screen 2.7 inch
Multiple Batteries
Approximate Battery Charge Time : 3 hours
—-
The Canon ZR500 has excellent image quality and is very small and portable. It takes 3 hours to charge fully. That’s not that bad. In my package they sent me 2 batteries. It has a whopping 800 times digital zoom, with a firewire port that comes with it. It has good lighting, with a plastic cover for screen protection. Sound has an ok quality… I would rate it at about a 8 out of 10 with 10 being the highest. It is also a very tough Camcorder. I dropped it countless times and have had absolutely no problems with it after the falls. By the way i dropped it on the road, which was paved. It also comes with a 2.5 widescreen, connected to it exteriorly.

Radio on the Internet!
April 20, 2008
For years and years we have listened to radio whether it was in the house, in the car, or in the ears, but now there is another one to add to that list. Yes i think officially we can say that online radio has become one of the greatest things we have. Not having to be in the service area of one particular station, most stations are broadcasting online now. This brings great choice to the people of the area and the world. Yes now it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, you are still able to listen to your home radio station by just going to their website.
This has also helped the radio and advertising. Now more and more advertising is on the radio because the advertisers know that it will be broadcasted not only in their country but all over the world. This brings in international visitors to their product, and tells people that if they travel to that place they will be able to get that certain product.
Anyway this post might have been a little confusing. Just thought i would write about what i was thinking about at the moment. I think it’s quite interesting. If you think its interesting to, leave a comment below.
Thanks

Making professional slide shows and videos with Animoto!
April 18, 2008
Today i have come across a website that has addicted me ever since i found it. It’s called Animoto and the purpose of this website is to take your pictures and make them into a professional looking video. When i say professional i mean professional. I will paste the link to a sample video at the end of this post.
How you do it- First you create an account. You have two choices. Number 1- Make a 30 second video which is very high quality and FREE, and then there is one that you can get longer. Unfortunately for that you have to puck up some dough. The 30 second one is really all you need though.
Then they will ask you to upload the pictures for you video. They prefer you upload between 10 and 15 images as if you do any more they will be cut off. This should take only a little while depending on your Internet connection speed.
Next you are able to choose from a selection of songs for your slideshow. The best part is that your slideshow will play to the beat of the song. If you don’t like any of their beats(which i highly doubt you will dislike) you are able to upload your own song from your computer.
After that you fill in the required information for the presentation, and click next. There they will produce the movie within several minutes. You will get an email when it is fully produced. Then watch as Animoto amazes you.
The finished product is really quite remarkable. Taking less than 15 minutes i see a video that would take me weeks or more to build on my own. Here is the video i made..
If you are interested in making your own account go to animoto.com and get started. Animoto if i had to rate it would defiantly be a 10 out of 10 for performance, but also for the speed in which it is finished at.
Thanks

How to protect your identity and passwords online.
April 17, 2008
More and more now people are becoming the victims of identity theft. The problem is that a great amount of it is from the Internet. Today i have come up with a few tips to keep your passwords safe and prevent hackers from getting them.
1- Don’t use just one password. To many people now days are just using one password. Try making multiple passwords. Another good idea is to keep passwords that are related with the real world like banking, social security etc in the real world, and keep the passwords that you use on line (Youtube, Facebook etc) separate from them. Having them all the same password will increase the chance of being robbed. Think of it this way: If someone gets one of your passwords, and thats the password you used for every single account on line, most likely you now have no access to any of those accounts.
2- Don’t share your passwords. This should be pretty obvious. This usually happens with teenagers and sometimes leads to bullying. Kids will all give each other everyones password putting their full trust in each other. Then one person changes the password, then guess what: The person you gave your password to has control over your stuff, and you have no control what so ever. Even if you trust the person, keep the passwords to yourself. Why would you want anyone else to know them anyway?
3-Make sure that you know all of your passwords- Make sure you use passwords that are good, but make sure you know them because it is not necessarily a good idea to write or type them. If someone gets a hold of these passwords when your not looking weather on paper or on your computer it could be devastating. If you have to type them due to long term memory problems try and set a master password(Sort of like a password for passwords). Some Internet browsers have this feature for example. Having a master password just creates another wall that someone has to get through to get your passwords.
There are plenty other things you can do to protect yourself, but most of it is just common sense. Keep private information private, and don’t share your personal information with others, even if it’s your best friend in the world.
Thanks
